Dai Hachi is a great place for groups. There are only about 50 seats, so it’s not too crowded and the tables are close enough to be comfortable but not so close that you feel like you’re sitting on top of the person next to you. The best part about Dai Hachi, however, is their large patio—they have a ton of seating outside and accept dogs! So on sunny days you can dine with your furry friend in tow.
During happy hour (which lasts most of the evening), Dai Hachi offers their full menu of food and drinks at a steep discount (martinis are $8!). Asahi and Sapporo beers are served in frosty mugs, but don’t expect any fancy craft brews here. If you prefer wine or whiskey to beer, Dai Hachi also has an extensive drink list featuring cocktails made with top-shelf liquors.
They have a huge menu with all kinds of delicious rolls, from veggie to classic tuna, salmon and more. They offer vegetarian options as well as plenty of non-sushi options like noodles or bento boxes with chicken teriyaki or beef steak teriyaki.
The service is fast and friendly. The waiters are very responsive to requests, and they are quick to bring a refill or clear your plate once you’ve finished eating.
